    The experience will guide you from the elegant city of San Sebastian to the medieval village of Ezcaray.     DAY 01-02

    Start the experience with a stay at a gastronomic hotel in San Sebastian. Dinner at the Akelarre Restaurant, where, from that magical shore of the Bay of Biscay.     DAY 02-03

    The day of this gastronomic experience for gourmets begins with a tour around the city, a reminder of the beautiful Belle Époque in the decades before the First World War.     BASQUE FOOD TOUR AND THE “TXOTX”

    “Txotx” is the action of opening the tap of the “kupela” or barrel to serve the cider in the glasses. Therefore, when we are in a cider house eating the traditional menu, all the diners get up to the scream of “txotx!”. Because it means that the person in charge of the cellar is going to open one of the “kupelas” or barrels. At that moment, everybody, glass in hand, leave the table to stand in line and, in an orderly manner, place their glasses under the tap, one after the other, so that not a single drop of the cider is wasted. Thus, until the last of the retinue is served and the “kupela” is closed.

     

    DAY 03-04

    After breakfast at a gastronomic hotel in San Sebastian, your last stop in Gipuzkoa will be in Idiazabal, a small town. Discover a different way of living with your guide. As it will show you the way Basque shepherds lived and live nowadays in the green pastures, constantly taking care of “latxa” sheep. This small town has given its name to the famous Idiazabal cheese, one of the best known products of Basque cuisine. Taste buds tingle, they will take you to the cheese factory.     THE RIOJA

    DAY 04-05

    Today you will make the trip Basque Food Tour through the best wineries in Spain. You will participate in guided tours in three wineries and their vineyards. You will visit Ysios, and avant-garde winery, and traditional Muga winery, a classic in the station quarter. Each participant will receive a magnum bottle of one of their wines. You will walk through incredible landscapes of vineyards and medieval villages. You will go with our guide through the medieval town of Laguardia. Lunch will be served at Muga winery, with a typical Rioja’s menu, always with the relaxed and familiar atmosphere that a traditional and emblematic place like this one offers.

    Optionally, in a unique experience and composed only of two people, you can enjoy a master class of gastronomy in the kitchens of the restaurant with two Michelin stars (subject to the calendar).

     

    DAY 05

    After the pleasant breakfast at the gastronomic hotel, you will have free time to walk through the medieval village of Ezcaray. You will be transferred to the airport for your departure trip
